The low stability of some molecular sieves can benovercome during calcination by a solid state reactionnbetween the molecular sieve and a salt. Molecularnsieves including zeolites, metal substitutednaluminosilicates, and metallosilicates can benstabilized by this method. The inventive processncomprises mixing such molecular sieve with a salt, neither directly or as a slurry; and then heating thenresulting mixture to remove water, organics andnadsorbed species. |
