A process for producing a porous crosslinked polymer in which an upper part and a lower part of the porous crosslinked polymer can be freely controlled with respect to surface properties, width, and thickness and the emulsion can be fed and polymerized continuously. The process comprises polymerizing a W/O emulsion having a high dispersed-phase content to produce a porous crosslinked polymer, and is characterized in that the emulsion is continuously fed and polymerized while the atmosphere in contact with the emulsion is kept having a lower oxygen content than the surrounding air by an oxygen-diminishing means |
