abstract |
A laser treatment apparatus provided with a light deliverynoptical system for delivering a laser beam for treatment fromna laser source (10) to a treatment area of a patient's eye (E)nto irradiate the treatment area is disclosed. The light deliverynoptical system includes a homogenizer optical system (2) whichnsubstantially uniformizes an energy distribution of the lasernbeam; a relay optical system (30) having lenses (31, 32, 33)nfor relaying an image of an exit end face (2a) of the homogenizernoptical system onto the treatment area; and a distortion generatingnoptical system (21) which is disposed between the homogenizernoptical system and the relay optical system and generates a negativendistortion in the exit end face image to be formed on the treatmentnarea. |
