Packaging for a product comprising a first layer of anflexible, shrinkable film (12) and a second layer of a nonwovennfabric (14) secured to said film (12) for engaging the product andnmaintaining the film away from the product, said film (12) beingnresponsive to heat to shrink into a rigid shellnsubstantially conforming to the shape of the product, saidnnonwoven fabric (14) supporting the shell off of the productnduring and after shrinking of the film (12) and absorbing impactnforces applied to the shell to thereby protect the productnfrom said impact forces. |
