For use in lithium secondary cells, a positivenelectrode terminal 51 and a negative electrode terminal 81nare given an enhanced mechanical strength to improve thenreliability of electrical connection between the cell and annexternal circuit, while the formation of oxide film on thesenterminals is inhibited to suppress the discharge voltage dropnof the cell. To give these advantages to the lithiumnsecondary cell embodying the invention, the positivenelectrode terminal 51 is formed from an aluminum alloyncontaining magnesium and silicon in a combined amount of atnleast 1.0 wt. % as additive elements, and the negativenelectrode terminal 81 is formed by plating a substrate ofnoxygen-free copper with nickel. |
