abstract A high-pressure discharge lamp (100) having an arc tube (4) thatnincludes a main tube part (71) and a pair of capillary tube parts (8)nis provided. The main tube part (71) includes a pair of electrodes (11)nand a metal halide enclosed, and the pair of capillary tube parts (8)nis arranged at the end of the main tube part (71). The pair of capillaryntube parts (8) is sealed by means of a seal member (13) to a differentnone of a pair of feeders (12), which supplies electricity to each of thenelectrodes (11). At least one of the feeders (12) includes a firstnconductive member (14) that is resistant to halides and sealed tonthe capillary tube part (8), and a second conductive member (15) thatnis connected to the first conductive member (14) outside thencapillary tube part (8) and fixed at an outer end of the capillaryntube part (8) by means of the seal member (13).
