titleOfInvention Food intake restriction apparatus with wireless energy transmission
abstract A food intake restriction apparatus for an obese patient comprises an energy transmission means for wireless transmission of energy of a first form from outside the patient's body, an implantable operable restriction device for engaging the stomach or the esophagus of the patient to form an upper small pouch of the stomach and a restricted stoma opening in the stomach or esophagus. The restriction device is operable in response to energy of a second form different than the energy of the first form to vary the restricted stoma. An energy transforming means is implantable in the patient for transforming energy of the first form transmitted by the energy transmission means into energy of the second form.
