The invention relates to a micro-structured platform ("microchip") with which onenLiquid can be examined. The microchip contains a fill area and onenExamination area and, if applicable, a collection area for the liquid that comes fromnexits the examination area, as well as a system of channels and at least onenfluidic structure that controls the flow of fluid within the microchipnbecomes. The fluidic structures essentially comprise a butterfly structure,na cascade structure, a bifurcation structure, a delay structure for the leadingnEdge flow and a structure based on the capillary force with which thenLiquid flow can be stopped.n n n The microchip is suitable for applications and tests of liquids that contain biomolecules, such as nucleic acids and peptides. |
