Method of producing foamed slabs |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method of producing foamed slabs with a density of 20 to 200 g.1<-1> and a cross-section of at least 50 cm<3>. The inventive foamed slabs are produced by extruding and foaming a mixture from a styrene polymer, 3 to 15 percent by weight of a volatile foaming agent and 0.2 to 10 percent by weight graphite particles, each based on the styrene polymer, and optionally conventional additives. The invention is also characterized in that the volatile foaming agent is a mixture from 95 to 20 percent by weight CO2, 5 to 90 percent by weight H2O and 0 to 75 percent by weight of a volatile organic compound. |
