| abstract | A garment is provided with an elastomeric element having first (16) and second elastic segments (17) made of different elastomeric polymers and connected in series. The first elastic segment (16) can be made from a relatively higher performance, more expensive polymer. The second elastic segment (17) can be made from a relatively less expensive elastic polymer having moderate performance characteristics. The hybrid elastic band provides durable high elastic performance in regions of the garment where there properties are needed, while minimizing the total cost of the band. |
