This invention is a flame resistant polycarbonate resin compositionncharacterized by blending 0.01-2 weight parts of a silicone compound (B))nwherein a main chain has a branch structure and having an aromatic group in annorganic substituent, 0.01-2 weight parts of an alkali metal salt of an aromaticnsulfonic acid (C) represented by the following general formula 1 (hereafter, nreferred to as general formula 1), and 0.05-5 weight parts of a fiber-formingnfluorine-containing polymer (D), relative to 100 parts of a polycarbonate resin (A):nGeneral formula 1: A m -R- (SO 3 M) n (wherein, R is a phenyl group, naphthylngroup, or a phenyl group or naphthyl group substituted by A, where A is at leastnone type of substituent chosen from a group comprising a halogen atom, alkylngroup, aryl group, vinyl group, alkoxy group, amino group, methyl ester group andnethyl ester group, and M is an alkali metal. Also, when R is phenyl, m and n arenrespectively the integers 0-5 and 1-2 (m+n ≦ 6), and when R is naphthyl, m andnn are respectively the integers 0-7 and 1-2 (m+n ≦ 8). n The polycarbonate resin composition of this invention possesses superiornflame resistance without losing shock resistance and moldability, and as it doesnnot contain halogen fire retardants manufactured from chlorine and brominencompounds, there is no concern about generation of gases containing halogen fromnthe fire retardant during combustion. |
