Method and device for LCM (Laser Capture Microdissection) |
abstract |
A method for laser microdissection of sample areas (23) of interest of a sample (4) is specified. In a first step, an open cutting line (25) surrounding the sample area (23) of interest is generated by means of a laser beam (7). At the open position of the cutting line (25) there remains a web (26) which connects the sample area (23) of interest with the surrounding sample (4). In a second step, the web (26) is cut with a single laser pulse directed at it, thereby closing the cutting line. The sample area of interest (23) is separated from the sample (4) and falls into a collecting container (19) under the influence of gravity. |
