titleOfInvention | Device and method for storing information |
abstract | The invention relates to a device for storing and processing information, especially binary coded information. Said device comprises a sequence (1, 1') having a first fluorophore molecule (3, 3') and a second fluorophore molecule or reactive group (4, 4') interacting with said first molecule in the area of a secondary structure (2, 2'). The first end (E1, E1') of said sequence is bound to a solid phase (5, 5') and the second end (E2, E2') thereof is bound to a magnetic or charge-bearing means (6, 8). The effect of an external magnetic or electric field eliminates or modifies the secondary structure (2, 2') in such a way that interaction can be eliminated and a fluorescence reaction is produced or cancelled. |
