A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteryncomprises: a positive electrode sheet comprising a positivenelectrode mixture containing a lithium-containing transitionnmetal oxide as an active material and a particulate binder; annegative electrode sheet comprising a negative electrodenmixture containing a carbon material; a separator interposednbetween the positive electrode sheet and the negativenelectrode sheet; and a non-aqueous electrolyte containing anlithium salt, wherein the positive electrode sheet and thennegative electrode sheet are wound with the separatorninterposed therebetween to form an electrode assembly, and thenpositive electrode mixture has an active material density ofn3.0 to 4.0 g/ml. The battery has a long life, high energyndensity and high output. |
