abstract |
An electrode arrangement for generating shock waves by electrical discharge between electrode tips (12, 13) is described, which is used in particular as an ESWL (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy) electrode in a shock wave source for crushing kidney stones or as an electrode in a device for extracorporeal shock wave therapy ( ESWT) is suitable. The electrode arrangement is characterized in particular by the fact that at least one of the electrode tips (12, 13) can be exchangeably inserted into an associated electrode holder (14, 15), the electrode tip and the electrode holder having corresponding fitting contours for mutual locking. This enables the user to replace the spent electrode tips at very low cost. |
