abstract The present invention is a method of making a thin film of a poly urethane. The method has the steps of: (a) vacuum coating a thin layer of a solventless mixture of a monomer mixture, said monomer mixture selected from the group consisting of polyols, polyisocyanates and combinations thereof, onto a substrate in a vacuum chamber; and (b) curing the monomer as said thin film of said polyurethane.
