titleOfInvention | Valve timing regulation device |
abstract | A valve timing adjusting device adjusting the opening and closing timing of a valve of an internal combustion engine, wherein both end parts of rotor energizing members (40, 41) energizing a rotor (18) toward a specified lock position relative to a housing (16) are supported on the peripheral wall surfaces of shoes (22) of the housing (16) and vanes (23) of the rotor (18) through holder members (38, 39), whereby the rotor energizing members (40, 41) can be assembled utilizing spark-advance hydraulic chambers (24) formed between the shoes (22) and vanes (23), energizing member storing chambers for assembling the rotor energizing members (40, 41) need not necessarily to be provided, and a valve timing adjusting device can be reduced in size and, in addition, using the holder members (38, 39), both end parts of the rotor energizing members (40, 41) can be suppressed from being worn by a friction with the shoes (22) and the vanes (23). |
