titleOfInvention | Adamantane derivatives and processes for the preparation thereof |
abstract | Adamantane derivatives are represented by Formula (1),n(6) or (9) :n n n n[In Formula (1), R 1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; eachnof R 2 and R 3 is, identical to or different from each other, anhydrogen atom or a methyl group; each of A 1 and A 2 is, identicalnto or different from each other, a -C(=O)-O- group or -O-C(=O)-ngroup, where the right-hand side of these two groups is on the nadamantane ring side; each of X 1 and X 2 is, identical to orndifferent from each other, a straight- or branched-chainnalkylene group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. In Formula (6),neach of R 4 and R 5 is, identical to or different from each other,na hydrogen atom or a methyl group; each of R 6 and R 7 is,nidentical to or different from each other, a hydrogen atom orna methyl group; each of A 3 and A 4 is, identical to or differentnfrom each other, a group represented by the following formula:n -A 5 -O-C(=O)- n(wherein A 5 is a straight- or branched-chain alkylene groupnhaving 1 to 6 carbon atoms, where the right-hand side of thenabove formula is on the adamantane ring side); nX is a straight- or branched-chain alkylene group having 1 ton12 carbon atoms; and each of m and n is 0 or 1. In Formulan(9), R 8 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; each of R 9 andnR 10 is, identical to or different from each other, a hydrogennatom or a methyl group; R 11 is a hydrogen atom, a straight- ornbranched-chain alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or angroup represented by the following Formula (10):n n(wherein R 12 is an acryloyl group, methacryloyl group,n1-adamantylcarbonyl group orn3,5-dimethyladamant-1-ylcarbonyl group; and s is an integernfrom 1 to 6); andneach of p, q and r is an integer from 1 to 6.] These adamantane nderivatives are useful as, for example, raw materials forndental materials. |
