abstract | A solenoid operated pressure control valve (10) of the type using a spool valve member (24) for controlling flow from a source inlet (60) to a control outlet port (64) and to an exhaust port (68). The solenoid has a reduced area portion (20) of the flux collector (14) in magnetic loop forming an annular air gap remote from the working air gap.
