titleOfInvention Asymmetric electrochemical capacitor
abstract The present invention pertains to electricncapacitors having a large capacity and used fornaccumulating electric energy, and essentiallynrelates to asymmetric electrochemical capacitors. n The asymmetric electrochemical capacitor of thenpresent invention has a substantially increasednspecific energy as well as an extended servicenlife. To this end, the asymmetric electrochemicalncapacitor comprises a body (5), at least oneninstalled pair of electrodes comprising a first (1)nand a second (2) electrode, an electrolyte (3)narranged between said electrodes, a collector andna separator (4). The absolute capacities of thenelectrodes are different, i.e. the first electrode hasna higher absolute capacity than the second one. n One of the electrodes is made of a materialnallowing for the energy build-up during anFaraday process, while the other electrode isnmade of a material allowing for the energy build-upnin a dual electric layer.
