| abstract |
A module or dispenser (30) for dispensing at least one liquidnfilament onto a moving substrate includes a nozzle body (52) having a liquidnsupply port, a liquid discharge portion or end, and a liquid discharge passage (60)nhaving an orifice in fluid communication with the liquid supply port (82,84,86). Thenliquid discharge passage (60) extends along an axis and the opening (60a) is shapednasymmetrically about the axis to provide a controlled directional movementnof the liquid filament in a desired direction. The asymmetric shape may benformed by a notch or a chamfer or a stepped portion intersecting with thenliquid discharge passage (60), or combinations of these features, or in othernmanners. |
