titleOfInvention Composition for manufacturing coatings having a low surface energy, such coatings, and method for manufacturing same
abstract The invention relates to a coating composition comprising a curable coating system consisting of a cross-linkable resin and a cross-linking agent, and a functional fluorine compound capable of reacting with the cross-linkable resin, but having a lower reactivity than the cross-linking agent. Furthermore, the invention relates to an asymmetric coating layer consisting of a cured coating system having on the air side a layer of functional fluorine compound covalently bonded to the cured coating system. Finally, the invention relates to a method for coating a substrate comprising the application of a layer of the composition according to the invention, followed by curing the composition under such conditions that the functional fluorine compound diffuses to the air side of the layer and then forms covalent bonds with the cross-linkable resin.
