abstract | A catalyst for the hydrotreating of a hydrocarbon oil which is produced by a method comprising impregnating a refractory inorganic oxide with a solution containing a compound of a metal belonging to Group 4 of the Periodic Table to form a carrier having the compound carried thereon, preparing a product having the above carrier and, carried thereon, at least one compound of a metal belonging to Group 6 and at least one compound of a metal belonging to Group 8 to 10, and treating the product with heat at a temperature of 300 °C or lower; a method for producing a catalyst for the hydrotreating, characterized in that an aqueous organic compound having a boiling point or decomposition temperature of 150 °C or higher is first carried on a refractory inorganic oxide, and a compound of a metal belonging to Group 4 of the Periodic Table is carried on the resulting carrier product, and subsequently a compound of a metal belonging to Group 6 and a compound of a metal belonging to Group 8 to 10 are carried on the resulting product; a method for producing a catalyst for the hydrotreating, characterized in that an aqueous organic compound having a boiling point or decomposition temperature of 150 °C or higher and a compound of a metal belonging to Group 4 are carried on a refractory inorganic oxide, and then a compound of a metal belonging to Group 6 and a compound of a metal belonging to Group 8 to 10 are carried on the resulting product. |
