titleOfInvention METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING THE PRESENCE AND EXTENT OF A HALITOSIS
abstract The probe (20) is disposed so that a tip portion (32) thereof in contact with the fluid layer disposed on the subject's tongue so that the sulfide responsive electrode (24) contacts fluid. The reference electrode (26) is also in electrical communication with the fluid, via the salt bridge (30). An electrical potential is developed between the sulfide responsive electrode (24), and the reference electrode (26). This electrical potential is proportional to the sulfide concentration in the fluid.
