A programmable, flexible, vector correlation enginenfor CDMA mobile and base station chip rate signalnprocessing. A correlator co-processor (CCP) (100)nperforms the de-spreading tasks for a RAKE receiver,nearly/late correlations for time tracking, and hasnprovision for coherent accumulation of different lengths.nThe CCP (100) also performs energy estimation and non-coherentnaccumulation functions. The CCP (100) can alsonperform correlation functions required for delay profilenestimation, and for search/acquisition functions. The samencentralized Data Path (300) is used to perform all thesenfunctions; a common controller (150) generates signals intonthe Data Path (300) in response to tasks initiated by anhost processor (e.g., DSP). The tasks written into the CCPn(100) are performed effectively in parallel by the CCP DatanPath (300). |
