| abstract | The device for producing vehicle interior parts from multi-component plastic, in particular polyurethane, consists of a carrier (4) and a decorative film (9) which are back-foamed by the multi-component plastic (10) and are glued together. The device has a lower and an upper mold (1, 2) and a frame (6). A sealing cord ensures the sealing of the mold cavity. In order to prevent an undesired escape of the multi-component plastic when foaming, which would require post-processing and cleaning, the sealing cord (7) is on the three sides, which are not facing the mold cavity, with the mold closed on the tenter frame (7) and the lower one and upper mold (1,2). Here the sealing cord is fixed in its position and shape. The fourth side facing the mold cavity is expandable in the direction of the mold cavity in order to adapt to the contour of the carrier and the film and thus to ensure the desired seal. The sealing cord is advantageously fastened to the tensioning frame and can be moved up and down with it. |
