A lithium secondary battery includes an electrode unitnproduced by winding or laminating a positive electrode andna negative electrode via a separator, and a non-aqueousnelectrolytic solution containing a lithium compound as annelectrolyte. The cumulative concentration of water (H 2 O)nreleased fromboth of the positive electrode and the negativenelectrode is suppressed to 5,000 ppm or lower in relationnto the weight of the electrode unit, exclusive of currentncollectors, in the case where both electrode plates arenheated at 25 to 200°C and/or 1,500 ppm or lower in the casenwhere both electrode plates are heated at 200 to 300°C. Thenlithium secondary battery can have high charging andndischarging efficiency, excellent cycle property andnreliability by suppressing deterioration of batterynproperties. |
