abstract A method for disinfecting drainage by adding a disinfecting solution containing water and a bromine or iodine disinfectant to predetermine drainage. An apparatus for disinfectant drainage comprising a device for producing a disinfecting solution from a disinfectant and drainage, a sand basin and a watercourse through which a disinfecting solution is introduced into the sand basin to disinfect the drainage staying in the sand basin.
