A guidewire capture sheath (50) for capturing a guidewire being progressed along the lumen of a body duct, wherein a capture means (52) is housed in, connected to or integral with a catheter (51), capable of moving between a first, retracted condition and a second, expanded condition, when the sheath is adapted to capture guidewire being progressed through the body duct from the other direction, and to direct it into the catheter (51). The guidewire capture sheath (50) is used during placement of vascular grafts, particularly trouser grafts, across an aneurysm. |
