titleOfInvention Method for producing a foam
abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a foam based on renewable resources, notably naturally growing raw materials such as algae, characterized by the following steps: processing of raw materials containing at least 3 % by mass alginate so as to obtain a first reaction solution containing water-soluble alginate and preparation of a calcium ion source in the form of a second reaction solution; saturation of at least one reaction solution with a foaming agent; combining of the reaction solutions, resulting in a water-insoluble calcium alginate and simultaneous foaming; drying; shaping; and possibly a secondary treatment, depending on the specific intended purpose.
