abstract |
The invention relates to a low odor polyethylene blend containing a high molecular ethylene polymer obtained by polymerization in the presence of a Ziegler catalyst and a low molecular ethylene homopolymer or copolymer obtained by polymerization in the presence of a chromocene catalyst on an oxidic support. The invention is characterized in that the Al content of the high molecular components is 5 to 60 mg/kg, the Al content of the of the low molecular components is 0 to 5 mg/kg and the Al content of the blend is 1 to 55 mg/kg. The invention also relates to a method for the production of said blend, to the use thereof in the production of shaped bodies, especially hollow bodies and tubes, and to shaped bodies, especially hollow bodies and tubes manufactured from low odor polyethylene blends. |
