abstract | Disclosed is a method of diagnosing hepatocellular injury in a human patient, the method comprising the steps of: obtaining a sample of serum from the patient; assaying the sample to determine the amount of FBPase in the sample; comparing the amount of FBPase in the sample with the amount of FBPase in a previous sample from the same patient and/or with the amount of FBPase which might be expected for a healthy individual; and making a diagnosis based on the comparison, and a kit for performing the method. |
