titleOfInvention Method for producing 2-halogen nicotinic acid derivatives and 2-chloronicotinic acid-n-butyl esters as intermediate products
abstract The present invention relates to a method for precipitating/re-precipitating 2-chloronicotinic acid in an acidic medium. This method is characterised in that the 2-chloronicotinic acid is either a) precipitated from a solution that is susceptible of being alkaline in a mixture containing water and C3-C5 alcohol with the potential addition of an acid, or b) re-precipitated by heating in a mixture containing water and C3-C5 alcohol.
