abstract | The present invention relates to a device for connecting at least three stations, intended to form a local data transmission network meeting the recommendations of the Ethernet protocol, in particular a transmission speed of 10 Mbit / s in baseband and a method of CSMA / CD type access. This device is characterized by the fact that the topology of the local network is that of a passive bus where all the stations 10, 20 are connected one after the other and by the fact that the physical support of the local network consists of 'A connecting cable 60 comprising at least one symmetrical pair. Advantageously, the physical support of the local network is produced by two symmetrical pairs, each of its two pairs having a unit impedance substantially equal to 100 Ohms and being placed in parallel at each station 10.20, these two pairs then being equivalent to an impedance transmission line substantially equal to 50 Ohms. The invention also describes a connection box 30 allowing a station 10 equipped with a single connector 11 to be connected to such a local network. |
