A water-metachromatic cloth sheet whichncomprises a support and provided on the surfacenthereof a porous layer formed of a binder resinnto which fine-particle silicic acid standsnfixed dispersedly, and is capable of renderingndifferent transparency between anliquid-absorbed state and a liquid-unabsorbednstate. The support is a cloth having a weightnper unit area of 30 g/m 2 to 1,000 g/m 2 , thenfine-particle silicic acid is held in thenporous layer in an amount of from 1 g/m 2 to 30ng/m 2 , and the fine-particle silicic acid isnincorporated in an amount ranging from 0.5 partnby weight to 2 parts by weight based on 1 partnby weight of the binder resin. n Also disclosed is a writing instrumentnusable for water-metachromatic membersnincluding the above water-metachromatic clothnsheet. |
