titleOfInvention Sealed sterile package with pack for intravesical instillation
abstract The invention relates to the field of intravesical instillation in urinary incontinence due to dysfunction of the detrusor. Different active pharmaceutical ingredients have already been used for this. The problem was that patients were either forced to draw a sterilized instillation solution onto a syringe themselves and use an adapter to connect and instill the catheter, or to connect a non-end-sterilized finished syringe to an adapter and connect it to the catheter, which means a very short shelf life of a few weeks and an increased risk of contamination. It was also problematic to dissolve a tablet or the like with the corresponding active pharmaceutical ingredient in an aqueous solution, then draw the resulting solution into the syringe and finally apply it. Again and again there were infections and complications for the patient. Another problem with the prior art was the sensitivity to light of various active pharmaceutical ingredients, in particular oxybutynin, which only allowed the active pharmaceutical ingredient to be drawn into the syringe immediately before its application. The invention remedies this by a welded packaging (10) with a set for intravesical instillation, comprising a sterilized disposable syringe with an opaque cylinder (12) and a latex-free sealing ring (14) at the front end of the piston (15), filled with a isotonic sodium chloride solution (16) of a drug substance, a sterilized adapter (18) and a sterilized cap (20).
