abstract A leather treatment agent is described which is suitable for simultaneously hydrophobicizing, softening, filling and retanning leather and contains a combination of a polysiloxane carrying carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid anhydride groups, an amphiphilic copolymer made from hydrophilic or hydrophobic monomer units, an emulsifier and an oil or wax , wherein the carboxylic acid groups of the polysiloxane are in neutralized form. This leather treatment agent enables the production of a washable leather.
