abstract |
A synthetic resin powder improved in granulation properties, blocking resistance and other powder characteristics, which is preparednby coagulating an MBS resin latex satisfying the following relationships (1) and (2), adding a hard polymer in the form of a latex or ancoagulation slurry in an amount of 0.1 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the MBS resin, and recovering a powder from thenresulting mixture: -1.5x + 140 ≤ y ≤ -1.65x + 180 (1) 55 ≤ x ≤ 70 (2) [wherein x is butadiene content (wt. %) of MBS resin; and y is Vicatnsoftening point (°C) of MBS resin]. This synthetic resin powder is useful as impact modifier for vinyl chloride resins and can impartnexcellent impact resistance to vinyl chloride resins without lowering in the transparency of the resins. |
