abstract |
The present invention provides a method for producing plasticnlenses, especially for spectacles, comprising dippingnpoly(thio)urethane lenses or lenses of a diethylene glycolnbisallylcarbonate-type polymer in a solution comprising at leastnone compound selected from dibenzoylmethane compounds of thengeneral formula (1)n nwherein R and R' each represent a linear or branched C 1-8 -alkylngroup, or a linear or branched C 1-8 -alkoxyl group; and n andnn' independently are 0 or an integer of 1-3; and benzotriazolencompounds of the general formula (2)n nwherein R'' represents a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom or a brominenatom; and m and m' each indicate 1 or 2, which yields plasticnlenses which absorb almost all UV-radiation of up to about 400nnm and have a reduced yellow coloring. |
