titleOfInvention | Polycarbonate resin |
abstract | A polycarbonate resin obtained by reacting a carbonatenraw material with a dihydroxy compound, having:n a ratio (Mw/Mn) of a weight-average molecular weightn(Mw) to a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of not morenthan 2.2:1, calculated as polystyrene, when measured by gelnpermeation chromatography; and a ratio (Mv/Mn') of a viscosity-average molecularnweight (Mv) calculated according to the following formulae, nto a number-average molecular weight (Mn') calculated basednon the number of molecular ends, of not more than 1.40:1.n η sp /C = [η] × (1 + 0.28η sp ) [η] = 1.23 × 10 -4 x (M v ) 0.83 nwherein η sp is a specific viscosity of the polycarbonatenresin when measured with respect to a methylene chloridensolution thereof at 20°C; and C is a concentration of thenmethylene chloride solution, in the present case, thenmethylene chloride solution having a polycarbonate resinnconcentration of 0.6 g/dl is used. n The above polycarbonate resin has a molecular weightndistribution close to that of monodisperse system, andngenerates an extremely less amount of volatile componentsnderived from oligomers, upon heat-molding thereof. |
