abstract |
A pressing medical treatment apparatus (10) comprisesna pressing section (55) for pressing the back of a humannbody and a detecting section (66) for detecting spinousnprocess. The detecting section (66) includes a pressurensensitive sensor (23) for detecting spinous process, and itnis movable in the plane parallel to the back of the humannbody by the aid of a guide section (21). The detectingnsection (66) is moved along vertebral column to detectnspinous process of seventh cervical vertebra. Respectivenspinous processes of first to twelfth thoracic vertebrasnare detected on the basis thereof. A control unit (9)nstores positions of thoracic vertebras corresponding tondetection positions of respective spinous processes. Thencontrol unit (9) controls operation of the pressing sectionn(55) on the basis of the stored position information sonthat predetermined thoracic vertebra (affected part) isnpressed by using a roller (5). Various symptoms based onnany damage of thoracic zygapophyseal joint can be treatednin place of a therapist by using the medical treatmentnapparatus of the present invention. |
