abstract The invention concerns a method and a device for mounting a MacPherson strut suspension radius rod, comprising steps which consist in: inserting the elements forming the control rod beneath a mounting head having at least a tilting degree of liberty; bringing the control rod top end alongside a portion of the mounting head; compressing the spring by the relative movement of the mounting head with respect a locking member engaged in its prestressed spring, when the mounting head portion comes to a stop and when the shock-absorber rod moves beyond the upper spring retainer.
