titleOfInvention Compact fingerprint optical sensor
abstract The invention concerns a fingerprint optical sensor comprising an optical transmission prism (1) for receiving a finger (100) whereof the print image has to be acquired, a module (3) illuminating the finger (100), an imaging module (2) for acquiring an image of the finger (100) through the optical transmission body (1) thereby capturing the print thereof, according to viewing angles corresponding to the projections of the illuminating means (3) light rays with complete reflection on the fingerprint (100) furrows, the images being acquired without modifying the optical power between the prism (1) and the imaging module (2). The prism comprises a surface (11) for determining magnification between the fingerprint and its image, arranged for modifying the optical paths of the light rays coming from the illuminating means (3) so that the light rays, which are reflected on the fingerprint furrows, come to strike an imaging module (2) detection surface (4).
