A novel method for assaying C-reactive protein (CRP) in a sample whereby the concentration of CRP in the sample is assayed bynutilizing the specific binding of phosphocholine (PC) to CRP. More particularly, a novel method for assaying CRP concentration in a samplencharacterized in that, in the sandwich method, CRP in the sample bonded to a solid phase is detected by using PC labeled with a radioactivenisotope, a fluorochrome (fluorescein, lanthanoid), etc. By using this method, serum CRP concentration at a normal level can be accuratelyndetermined. |
