titleOfInvention METALLOCORRINOIDS FOR USE AS BIOLOGICALLY COMPATIBLE VECTORS OF PHARMACOLOGICAL AGENTS
abstract A purified compolex of a mettallocorrinoid, such as a vitamin B12 compound, and a pharmacological agent, such as nitric oxide, that is capable of site-specifif delivery of the pharmacological agent in vivo. The pharmacological agent is bound to the metallocorrinoid in a non-donating solvent. The complex is then resuspended in a biocompatible medium and inserted into the recipient. The pharmacological agent then releases in vivo, especially under acidic conditions.
