A resin composition for optical fiber loose tubesncontains (A) 100 parts by weight of polybutylenenterephthalate having a terminal carboxyl group concentrationnof 10 eq/ton or less and an intrinsic viscosity of 1.0 ton1.2, and (B) 0.005 to 0.1 part by weight of polyethylene wax. n The optical fiber loose tube is produced by extrusionnmolding at a haul-off speed of 200 m/min or more a resinncomposition for optical fiber loose tubes. The resinncomposition containing (A) 100 parts by weight ofnpolybutylene terephthalate having a terminal carboxyl groupnconcentration of 10 eq/ton or less and an intrinsic viscositynof 1.0 to 1.2, and (B) 0.005 to 0.1 part by weight ofnpolyethylene wax. |
