titleOfInvention Method for manufacturing ceramic-based composite material
abstract A matrix formation process 10 is configured with CVInprocess 12 and PIP process 14, 15, 16 in which a co-polymerncontaining at least polycarboxysilane (PCS) andnpolymethylsilane (PMS) is applied. Crosslinking of eachnpolymer is performed at an intermediate temperature whichnis lower than the pyrolysis temperature of the polymeres.nPolymer impregnation process 15 for infiltrating the co-polymerninto a matrix, and inert gas firing process 16 fornfiring the material at a high temperature in an inert gasnatmosphere. In the crosslink process, the mixed polymer isnheld at about 573K to 723K for a predetermined time. Thenconversion ratio of the co-polymer crosslinked into SiC innthe subsequent firing process is increased, efficiency ofnfilling SiC in the PIP process is increased, and annairtight ceramic-based composite material can benmanufactured efficiently within a short time.
