abstract |
Both discrete and array RC components are describednusing cofireable resistive material as part ofninternal electrodes of the device. The devicesninclude a sintered body of multilayer ceramic materialnin which multiple first and second electrode layersnare stacked. Each of the first layers comprises atnleast one resistive electrode pattern extending acrossnthe sintered body between respective pairs ofnterminations. The second layers comprise an electrodenpattern extending transverse to the resistivenelectrode pattern, such as between end terminations.nIn some embodiments, opposing side electrodes serve asninput and output terminals of a respective feedthroughnfilter. In a feedthrough arrangement, the thirdnterminal may be provided by one or both of the endnterminals. The invention also describes an improvedntermination structure including a layer made from anmetal oxide material. |
