Method and device for processing automobile tires |
abstract |
Product pieces (2) obtained from used tires are thermally processed in a batch-operating device (1). The product pieces (2) consist of a composite having at least one material component that decomposes when heated. The product pieces (2) are mechanically moved in the device (1) and/or fluidized and are heated at a material decomposition temperature on heated contact surfaces of the device (2). The composite is broken down at said temperature into one or more solid material components and fluids, which are separately withdrawn from the device (1). The method and the use of the device enable individual components to be separated. Impact on the environment is substantially avoided. |
