The device comprises a deformation part 3 for plastic energy absorption, which is arranged between the bumper beam 1 and the side member of the frame of the motor vehicle, and a hydraulic part for elastic energy absorption. The hydraulic part is arranged in the direction of impact in front of the deformation part 3, specifically inside the side member of the frame of the motor vehicle. This training makes it possible to work with large piston diameters of the hydraulic part and training in aluminum is possible.
